Clean Bandit. You probably know them from their iconic 2014 hit “Rather Be” featuring Jess Glynn, but they have been quite active in the past couple years as well. Last year, Both their singles “Rockabye” featuring Shaun Paul and Anne-Marie, as well as “I Miss You” with Julia Michaels, made waves in the pop community and topped charts.

These classic faves are still here on their latest album, “What Is Love?”, and includes eleven brand new songs. Each track brings with it new artists, and the album includes collaborations with Charlie XCX, Marina and the Diamonds, Luis Fonsi, Rita Ora, Demi Lovato, and more. As you can see, the whole gang is here. Let’s. Dive. In.

So the first song we absolutely must discuss is “Baby,” which blends Marina and the Diamonds’ gorgeous voice with Luis Fonsi’s Latin influence. Disclaimer: get ready to dance AND feel all the feels with this phenomenal collaboration. It’s a song about longing for a past lover in the midst of an ongoing relationship. Marina serves an authentic performance that wouldn’t be out of place on “Electra Heart” and Luis Fonsi’s musical sensibilities compliments her incredibly well.

Quick note before the next song; Zara Larson has had my heart and soul in a strong and comforting grip ever since she entered my radar in 2016. “Symphony” was actually first released on her album Lush Life last year, but if you missed it, Clean Bandit is serving you a piping-hot second chance at hearing this gem. An elegant blend of pop and classical instrumentation, both pop-junkies and people with more ~ refined sensibilities ~ will love this bop.

I could really go on like this about almost every song here but I doubt you want that so instead, go listen! I loved it, you will love it, your mother and dog will love it too! Savor this while you can, I don’t know if we will get another collaborative album this good in the near future.
