MODA’s Designer Boot Camp (DBC) program is an intensive course in fashion design and garment construction. Beginning in the middle of fall quarter and culminating in the annual MODA fashion show at the end of winter quarter, the program is designed for UChicago students who are passionate about design but who lack sewing and construction skills. These skills are taught in weekly workshops led by an associate professor of fashion design at SAIC. At the end of the program participants will have created complete looks for the show, and learned the basics needed to continue to make great work.
