True Polaroids are Back!

True Polaroids are Back!

Anyone that's had an old Polaroid camera lying around knows how expensive it can be to actually use it.

While one can find used and refurbished Polaroid cameras, Polaroid stopped producing film a while back. Since then, the Impossible Project has been the only company selling new, proper film suitable for Polaroid cameras and their own original cameras. However, this somewhat monopoly has led to absurdly overpriced film and thus the rising popularity of cheaper Fuji-film cameras and film.

Impossible Project has now bought the Polaroid name, and while prices have only somewhat decreased, the new Polaroid Originals leaves a lot to be excited for.

Launching on September 13th, 2017, the 80th anniversary of the founding of Polaroid, Polaroid Originals makes instant film for Polaroid cameras, and refurbishes vintage cameras so they’re good as new.

And now, we’ve created the OneStep 2 – a new, analog instant camera that invites everyone to take part in the next era of analog instant photography.
