Her most notable roles have been as Deputy Editor at both the British i-D magazine and the American Teen Vogue. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Content (sweet gig) at Alexander Wang until July 2019. While Ms. Nylander did attend the London College of Fashion, she prides herself on breaking into the industry without the help of famous parents or some strange stroke of luck. Her work in fashion has been so impactful because she’s never used it to hide her uniqueness in a sea of family legacies and socialites-turned-influencers-turned-creatives.

Lynette took this power of connecting with an audience through recognition of their individuality and ran with it. Alongside Elaine Welteroth, the former EIC of Teen Vogue, Lynette is credited with increasing the magazine’s representation of people of color and its venture into political and social issues—something never-before-seen from the previously bubblegum-pop, tweeny magazine.
