My Mascara Looks Like a Leaf

My Mascara Looks Like a Leaf

My New Year's resolution for 2017 was to use less eyeliner. The trade-off ended being a bigger investment in mascara. So in another attempt to justify purchases I normally would not be okay with, I took myself to Ulta and decided to try out a mascara that wasn't Lancome or Tarte. What did I end up with?

This.

The packaging is obnoxious, yes. But I think it's the most effective mascara I have now. It's $9.99, but rumor has it that some hunting around the actual brand's website will lead you to lots of sales.

One thing about this mascara that I love is that it builds up without getting clumpy and heavy. I've been reapplying the product throughout the day and I don't run into issues like fallout and smudging that other products have. The wand is very precise, allowing perfect inner lash application.

The product is organic, so you know it won't be doing anything funky to your face.

The only problem with the product is minor. It doesn't come in a waterproof version. If you have oily skin, especially surrounding your T-zone, then this mascara might have a bit of smudging. This isn't really an issue I've run into so far.

Available at Ulta
