Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood

Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood

This New York Fashion Week, models, spectators, and designers alike are garnering support for Planned Parenthood. With the non-profit organization's funding under attack by a Republican congress, these pink pins raise awareness and collective support.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has created magnetic pins (as to not poke holes in any garments, on both the runways and streets) donning the quote "Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood," pledging donations for social media postings and showing unwavering support for women's reproductive rights.

We go to Planned Parenthood for so many services: for H.I.V. testing, for cancer screening, for reproductive health care. We have to stand with them now and make sure they’re not defunded.
— Tracy Reese, designer and on board of directors for CFDA

With designers ranging from Phillip Lim to Kate Spade, Narciso Rodriguez to Rachel Comey, and many more, sporting the pins themselves on their finale walk, incorporating them into runway looks, or gifting them to guests, all are strutting in support of Planned Parenthood.

#IStandWithPP

With the "goal to increase awareness, engagement, and support, the CFDA Foundation will be contributing $5 for every share of the pin under the hashtag #IStandwithPP across social media."

It's true, we do. 💓 #IStandWithPP @plannedparenthood

Altuzarra even auctioned off NYFW tickets for their show in support of Planned Parenthood.

While the Fashion Week designed pins are not commercially available at the moment, you too can stand with PP through their own button four-pack.
