The school year is back and so is MODA's Monthly Favorites series (wahoo!)! Back after the summer of internships, networking, and (hopefully) relaxing/traveling, MODA Blog brings you a refreshing list of favorites from our bloggers and photographers to fill you with inspiration and energy for the next month.
Championing "blue wrinkled, glazed leather," the bag clocks in at $2,145 and breeds stark similarity to the famous IKEA Frakta Shopping Bag. At just $0.99, the crinkly nylon bag adorns the check out aisles, fit for carrying your soon to be assembled furniture or random odds and ends you justified from the low price-tag and ready for its new days as your tote to lug your laundry to the washing machine.
In the summer, months are a little less grueling (hopefully but alas not always @everyinternshipever) but MODA is still loving oh so many great things. We've got a fresh list here of some of our blogger's favorite things - whether it be to beat the heat, save some memories, or try out a latest trend.
With long spread of time this summer to curl up under a tree (pro-tip: do not lean against sap covered trees, your shirts will thank me) or on the beach or stowed away in air-conditioning, I've been crossing many, many books off my reading list. Mainly spurned by my inability to find a binge-worthy show (rip Suits marathon), I've branched off into the wireless pleasure of a paperback book and the sweet crinkle of turning pages. It is no surprise that a dewey, glowing, fresh face is all the rage at the start of Spring. Prior to binging and blowing a paycheck at Sephora and Glossier, I had always been afraid of cream based products and feared they wouldn't blend or my face would get oily. Boy, was I wrong!
Despite the uncharacteristically warm weeks of mid-February this year in Chicago, the past months of Winter wind and dry air really did a number on my skin. Frequently dry and flaking, especially around my nose, I finally had had enough and have now taken a vow to quit my lazy "makeup-wipe-and-off-to-bed" routine.
