3 Ways to Shave the Day

3 Ways to Shave the Day

If you're a guy, odds are you have a love-hate relationship with shaving. You either find it a completely bothersome chore, or you take it as a relaxing ritual that helps kick off your day. Either way, I've got an option for you. The Electric Shaver

The electric shaver is the perfect option for the guy who's not interested in any fuss. Plug it in, press a button, and shave away. Electric shavers excel in convenience, since shaving with one requires no preparation, and you're out the door in less than five minutes.

The Dollar Shave Club

By now, I'm sure many of you have heard or read of the Dollar Shave Club. Marketed as a cheaper and better alternative to store-bought razors, the Club offers a range of differently priced razor options, and they'll ship out replacement blades to you each month. Since its inception, the Club has since expanded to include other men's grooming products, from face moisturizers to hair clays.

The Double-Edged (DE) Safety Razor

This one's for the gents who have a little more time to spare, and want to get their face baby-butt smooth. While a safety razor comes with a fairly steep learning curve (and usually a couple of nicks and cuts along the way), once you get the hang of it, the experience is like no other. In terms of preparation, shaving with a DE is usually accompanied by a shave brush, and some traditional shaving soap or cream. Personally, I treat shaving with a DE as a little ritual - oddly enough, it helps me to relax, despite the fact that I have a razor-sharp blade on my throat.

Hopefully, some of these options will convince you to toss out that disposable razor, and pick up something that will treat your face better. And of course, there's always the straight razor... but let's save that for another time.
