Disney x Coach

Disney x Coach

I personally didn't find Coach's collaboration with Selena Gomez to be interesting at all - probably because I've been obsessed with Chloe's new releases since forever. But this week, I found out that Coach was collaborating with Disney, yet again.

Stuart Vevers - creative director of Coach - has created collections focusing around Disney classic character Mickey Mouse and Sleeping Beauty in the past. It seems now is the perfect time following the Women's March and the ever-growing feminist movement that Minnie Mouse is getting her own line.

Am I excited? Well... Sort of.

To further explain the reason for this line, Vevers recently stated in an interview:

"It was that idea of looking at how you can bring the two different worlds together to create something new and fresh. Whenever we've done the special collections with Disney, I've always wanted to explore something that makes it feel surprising and new," he says. "How it's worked in the past is I've gone with an idea, and shared it with Disney; generally, they've been really open to try new things. I've wanted to do something that feels different, something that feels like fashion."

I feel like this is a pretty niche collection. I stopped carrying Minnie Mouse accessories at about age seven and Coach at age fifteen, but the mix of the two is giving me a bit of a nostalgic impulse to buy.

The bags revive some new Minnie looks, ones with moto jackets and others with just her silhouette. This is limited edition, so for all you collectors out there, it might be your time to hurry up and get these before it's too late. From the looks of the site, most of the items are already sold out.
