Bracelet or Bag: Why Not Both?
Paris Fashion week is happening right now, and a bag I've seen parading down the catwalk is the new Chloe Nile bag. The half-moon shape, boho aesthetic, and massive metallic ring handle caught my attention immediately and surely left an impression.
Since its release of the Drew and the Faye, Chloe has been a hot brand for stylish bags for bloggers. While I am a huge fan of Chloe bags, this is the first bag of this house that I really can't approve of.
Intended to be a clutch, shoulder bag, and a bracelet simultaneously, the Nile bag has the silhouette of the Marcie but the metal details of a Faye. When paired with the flowy, soft-colored pieces of Chloe's Spring/Summer 2017 collection, the Nile does fit right in. It comes in a small and medium size in the classic motty grey, tobacco, or light pink colors.
Many bloggers seem to think the Nile has the potential to be the "it-bag" of 2017, and its high demand has it currently sold out in Chloe boutiques around Paris and on its online store. I normally find the stark contrast of material and detail that Chloe incorporates very appealing, but I find this bag to be extremely confusing. It looks more like a sad mash-up of an upside down Faye and the Marcie than a unique must-have bag. What do you think?
