Alexa Chung Set to Launch Own Fashion Label

From her sold out collaborations with AG Jeans and Madewell, contributions to British Vogue and frequent stints as a creative consultant to brands such as Superga, Eyeko and Marks & Spencer, Alexa Chung has undoubtedly established herself as a modern day Renaissance woman in the fashion world.

On top of her extensive background in design and journalism, Chung has dabbled in TV presenting and modeling as well. Most recently, she launched her own fashion community and shopping app Villoid, which allows users to create mood boards and collages, and purchase the items they see directly off the interface. She's also fronted British Vogue's hugely popular "Future of Fashion" YouTube documentary series, investigating the ins and outs of the fashion world and answering all of our burning questions about the industry. 

Over the years, Chung has cemented her "It girl" status with her signature, quirky sense of style, popularizing everything from cropped pants and Peter Pan collars to ballet flats and cat eye makeup. Her effortless knack for mixing feminine pieces with more masculine silhouettes and updating classic looks with a bit of edge will undoubtedly influence her own approach to design as well.

Chung's contemporary priced ready-to-wear collection is set to launch in 2017 and will be sold exclusively to luxury retailers such as Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette, Matches Fashion, MyTheresa, and Ssense. The collection will be available on the label's own e-commerce site as well, which will also include various editorial and inspirational features (Business of Fashion). 

Perhaps most important to Chung is ensuring the accessibility of her brand, both in price point and in availability. Her collection will be offered at both online and traditional brick and mortar retailers, and will feature moderately priced daywear, evening wear, shoes, jewelry and denim.
