Statement on Jake Quinlan's Designer Profile

As Editor-in-Chiefs of the Blog, we are deeply regretful of our negligence and sincerely apologize for the lack of attention given to the content posted on February 24, 2023. In Jake Quinlan’s designer mood board, there was a picture that wrongly glamorized the abuses that took place at Abu Ghraib, which we failed to recognize before publishing. We fucked up, and we won’t give excuses. In the future, we will enforce stricter fact-checking, review our processes, ensure all content is researched, and seriously reflect on our leadership. We will be more diligent in the future to make sure this does not happen again.

After recent posting on the MODA Instagram, we would like to directly say that we, MODA Blog, do not support the artistic choices or the justification to objectify the suffering and torture that has happened in Abu Ghraib and that continues to occur.
