In the Garden

In the Garden

Every summer, I am in the mood for getting in touch with nature. I go to Garfield Conservatory and soak up the humidity of the tropical plants, ferns, and delicate mosses. I buy new plants and paint on my boring, plastic IKEA plant pots. I make sure to spray the bouquet of flowers every morning with water, so they stay fresh for more than two weeks.

The days are longer, and bodies move slower in the summer heat. There is no rush, no deadlines to catch up to, and more time to idle around.

Dear reader, do you have five minutes to spare?

Of course you do.

Then, let me take you for a walk in my garden. The details are everything, for we celebrate the tiny wonders in life. Click the button below, play the song, turn up the volume, and enjoy.

The days are drifting slowly by

I guess I'll be here 'til July

I find it hard to have no answers

But the thought of us can make the time go by

We could walk but in a garden

We could talk while at the market

Taking moments of our days to be alone

While we don't have all the answers

We still know what truly matters

Keeping hope alive despite the darkest storm
