Fall Favorites: Healing Edition
As I slowly settle in as a second year, I realize just how different I feel—no more stress and anxiety about forming friendships, missing out, and belonging. While the workload is no less this quarter, I feel far more focused. I know the people I love, what I enjoy doing in my free time, and what should/should not be in my life. This years feels healing and intentional. I love this peace, and here are my fall favorites that contributed to this calm:
London Fog + Honeymilk Ginger Tea
Ever since I discovered this combination, I have not been the same. The hint of ginger is incredibly warm and soothing, especially during this flu season. You can get this at any of the cafés on campus that offer looseleaf tea options—I know that Ex Libris Café, Harper Café, and Hallowed Grounds do!
Oceans & Engines - NIKI
The album Nicole is beautiful. This song is beautiful. I still cannot get over how I was able to see NIKI for $25 a few weeks ago. Listen to her if you would like to feel something.
Staying In On a Weekend
I find that I can never truly de-stress if I pack my weekend full with plans. Instead, I find so much comfort and joy decorating my room and spilling my entire existence to my lovely roommate. I feel so lucky sometimes.
Riding Scooters at Dusk
Riding a scooter with a friend at dusk is so healing and freeing. We passed this beautiful spot during our ride. It also started raining after this, which was a vibe. All you have to do is download an app…and find a scooter nearby.
