Seasons of Quad: A UChicago Quad Photo Essay
As Winter quarter brings overcast skies and flurries of snow, it also brings reminders of warmer days. A snow-speckled quad is a beautiful one but so is UChicago in its many shades and colors. I sat down with students across all four years and asked them what they loved about Seasons of Quad:
Spring
“ Sitting outside on a picnic blanket with friends and flowers” — Sylvia Ebenbach
“There’s a communal sense of relief… Everyone’s outside so happy that it’s warm” — Julia Richardson
Summer
“Walking on the quad and seeing friends sitting on the grass and being able to spontaneously join them!”
— Natalie Chapin
“People actually going outside” — Vivek Rao-Pothuraju
Autumn
“I love seeing all the dogs and squirrels outside!“
— Grace Limoncelli
“I like the tunnels, it feels like an adventure“
— Inali Hathaway
Winter
“I love the lights on the trees and how on certain days (when it snows), the snow falls so gently that the quad looks like a winter wonderland“ — Kyle Tingling
