4 Things to do This Summer in Hyde Park
As summer is almost upon us (just another week and we’re free!), many UChicago students may be staying in Hyde Park for internships, research, classes, etc. Whether youre excited about it or not, summer may be a really great time to go to all the events you never could because of the stresses of school. So for those of you, like myself, that are staying in Hyde Park this summer, I have compiled a list of some fun events worth checking out. Obviously there are more events going on than the few I’ve picked, so if you’re looking for more to do, there will definitely be something for everyone!
Hyde Park Dinner Crawl- June 18 (5-9pm)
The annual hydepark dinner crawl costs $30 and includes sampling from 20 different restaurants including: Nandos, Kilwin, Jolly Pumpkin, and Porkchop.

Jazz in the Courtyard (July 5 & Aug. 7)
Featuring Chicago natives including Rhythms of Thunder and Victor Garcia Latin Jazz Band.

Bantu Fest (July 27 & 28)
A festival celebrating over 30 different countries with cultural art, music, and food.
